TYC is a association established and conducted by young people who believe they can make a difference. As the name suggests, the key terms that define the NGO are: culture, youth, Transylvania but also other terms like participative democracy, active citizenship, history, tradition, urban culture etc.

The association’s projects centered closely on the values that it wishes to protect.
1. In the summer of 2014 a new concept was brought to the green heart of Cluj, the “CooltUrban Festival”. It’s purpose was to animate the Casino and the Central Park “Simion Bărnuțiu” during the month of August. Live music, graffiti artists, parkour amateurs with their street art representations, bu also unconventional theatre or magic moments happened during the 3 days festival.
2. During 2 editions, 2013 and 2014, TYC partnered to “Transylvania History Days”, festival dedicated to historical restoration, the first edition took place on the Kogalniceanu street and at the Tailors’ Tower, meanwhile the second has been in the Central Park. The public attended to the creation and crafts workshop, organised in the area designated for each era (Dacians, Romans, gladiators, middle ages, 19th century). There were also ancient cuisine, smithery, weaver, pottery and ancient games.
3. Another interesting project, centered this time on active involvement of citizens to the “town affairs”, took place by the name of “Voting=Counting”. During this event the young participants of the civil society had the opportunity to debate alongside specialists that were invited, the importance of young people getting involved in the elective process.
